Sometimes a girls’ getaway is just what we need to refresh and recharge. Orlando is one of those destinations that can be whatever you want it to be: a relaxing oasis, an exciting adventure, a night out, or a family trip.

You can experience a little bit of everything in Orlando, which makes it one of the most popular destinations for people from all over the globe. While Orlando has countless things to do, see, and experience, these are my top choices for an ideal girlfriends’ getaway.
Note: Rosen Plaza hosted my stay. All opinions remain my own.
1. Check In At The Rosen Plaza
Nestled on International Drive, Rosen Plaza is the ultimate place to stay during your girlfriends’ getaway in Orlando. Complete with the best amenities — restaurants, bars and lounges, a tropical pool, and let’s not forget the extremely plush robes — Rosen Plaza is a dream hotel.
Their guest rooms include double-bed accommodations and countless suite options perfect for a few nights away for you and the girls. Plus, its location is ideal for exploring the rest of Orlando and all it has to offer.
Rosen Plaza’s heightened cleaning, health, and safety regulations during the pandemic will help you rest assured that your health is being taken seriously during your stay at the hotel.
2. Enjoy 39 Poolside
While at Rosen Plaza, you don’t want to miss out on brunch at 39 Poolside. Enjoy freshly prepared bites and cocktails while laying out by the pool and soaking up the sun with your girlfriends.
Poolside offers non-traditional brunch options like their perfectly grilled salmon salad topped with a pineapple vinaigrette. Don’t forget to try their expertly crafted cocktails like the 39 Special, which is an infusion of banana and peach schnapps, Bacardi rum, and tropical fruit juices perfect for cooling off on a hot day!
3. Jack’s Place
Rosen Plaza’s onsite restaurant and lounge, Jack’s Place, is more than just a restaurant — it’s a place to dine among the stars! Well, maybe not literally — but the dining room is host to one of the largest collections of caricatures of well-known athletes, artists, and other celebrities. Some of these include Alfred Hitchcock, Neil Armstrong, and even Queen Elizabeth II! Besides its unusual wall decor, Jack’s Place will delight you with its impeccable service and mouthwatering seafood and steakhouse meals.
4. Comedy Dinner Show
If you are looking for dinner and a laugh, this is for you! The Comedy Dinner Show at WonderWorks Orlando is a hilarious experience you won’t soon forget. The show is interactive and entails non-stop engagement with the audience, so if participation isn’t your thing, you may want to sit this one out.
Dinner includes unlimited hand-tossed pizza (cheese and pepperoni), salads, wine, beer, and dessert. The comedy dinner show is definitely an excellent option for a relaxed and casual night full of laughs with your girls!
In my opinion, going to see this show is worth it just to visit the WonderWorks building. It’s a giant laboratory that looks like it was built upside down from the outside. Talk about an architectural feat! If nothing else, it’s certainly a fun novelty to experience during your Orlando girls’ trip.
5. Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant
At Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, you’ll have a truly memorable wine experience. Coopers Hawk winemakers travel the globe to find the absolute best grapes and, when found, begin crafting their signature wines.
The restaurant and winery’s philosophy is that wine and food make lasting connections, making it a fitting place to visit with your girls during your weekend getaway.
Dining at Cooper’s Hawk has a casual contemporary atmosphere and a menu with classic American dishes that incorporate world influences. Cooper’s Hawk has won over 500 wine awards in local, national, and international competitions.
When dining at Cooper’s Hawk, whether for lunch or dinner, I suggest trying the chef’s seasonal recommendations menu. The menu recommends an appetizer, entree, and dessert as well as wine pairings.
One of the highlights of the menu at Cooper’s Hawk is that each item has a suggested wine pairing, which leads to a wonderfully well-rounded experience and allows you to taste their specialties without any confusion when it comes to which wine to choose.
If you’re not a wine drinker, they also have a selection of signature cocktails, martinis, and beer, which are bound to delight the palate.
6. Disney Springs Shopping
Disney Springs is your one-stop-shop for everything food, shopping, and entertainment when in Orlando. This outdoor shopping concept has something for all ages. You’re sure to find some interesting buys as you explore the 103 shops! You can find various shops ranging from designer buys like Coach and Kate Spade to famous fashion houses like Anthropologie, Zara, and Lucky Brand, to workout gear, jewelry, and Disney-inspired shops and merchandise.
Regardless of your fashion tastes and preferences, there is something for everyone in Disney Springs. Besides, what’s more fun than shopping with your girlfriends?
Be sure to leave some room for noshing and sipping — Disney Springs has an array of full-service restaurants, quick-service eateries, bars, and snack stands. Our favorites are Paddlefish and Wine Bar George. And shopping does make a girl hungry.
Enjoy the fresh air and blue or sunset skies during your stroll around Disney Springs. One of the highlights of Disney Springs is the beautiful view of Lake Buena Vista and the sparkling lights that light up the sidewalk and pier at night.
Pro Tip: Definitely do not miss Disney Springs’ “rare amphibious vehicle” Vintage Amphicar experience — so much fun on a gals’ getaway!
7. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse
If you haven’t dined at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, a weekend getaway is a perfect time to try it! Featured on International Drive’s 10 best restaurants, Del Frisco’s offers stylish dining and mouthwatering meats.
The restaurant possesses a modern and posh flair and includes two bars, five private dining rooms, as well as a gorgeous patio.
If you and your girlfriends are wine lovers, Del Frisco’s has 1,200 different wines on their menu for you to explore. The expert sommelier is sure to recommend a wine ideal for your tastes, mood, and meal!
Suppose you want to experience the best of what Del Frisco’s has to offer. In that case, I recommend ordering the Double Eagle Tasting, which allows you to choose two or three of the following options: Prime New York Strip Steak, Filet Mignon, Jumbo Shrimp, Petite Lobster Tail, and Salmon.
For something fun to share with your girls, try their Shanghai-Style Fried Calamari, which is tossed in a sweet chili glaze and topped with bean sprouts, cherry peppers, crushed peanuts, and scallions. Del Frisco’s is an exquisite setting for a fancy night out with the girls.
9. Morse Museum In Winter Park
A visit to the Morse Museum serves as a perfect injection of art and culture into your weekend away. The Morse Museum is home to the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany, one of the great artists of the 19th century. Marvel at the unique jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass lamps, and windows that the museum has to offer.
The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the works and genuinely excited to share them with guests. It is a beautiful space to bask in beauty and creation and maybe even get inspired yourself! Keep in mind that the museum is open via reservation only, so make a plan for when you will be visiting this Orlando gem.
10. iFly Orlando
Are you craving adventure during your girl’s getaway in Orlando? iFly is sure to give you the experience of a lifetime. Always wanted to try skydiving, but not so keen on jumping out of a plane? iFly delivers the skydiving experience indoors and without the risk! The indoor wind tunnel allows you to feel what it’s like to fly through the air without jumping or falling.
You don’t need to wear any special clothing to the location, just be sure to wear closed-toed shoes; the flight suit will go on over your clothes.
Flight instructors will take you through a short orientation before you enter the flight chamber and experience what it feels like to be weightless! This is a unique and fun experience to share together during your weekend getaway.
11. Mural Walk Downtown Orlando
During your trip to Orlando, you may notice the wall murals on many buildings. The Mural walk is a guide to see the best murals downtown has to offer and an accompanying food tour! You can see the complete guide here.
The guide takes you from day to night and is broken down into districts. Each district has recommendations for where to eat and which murals to be on the lookout for! Grab your sneakers, hats, and sunglasses because this tour involves a lot of walking (and eating, too)!
Don’t forget to check out the Ravenous Pig at the end of your mural tour in Winter Park. It’s one of Orlando’s best restaurants and focuses on sustainable and seasonal food grown in Florida. They are renowned for their creativity in dishes and impeccable preparation. I would highly recommend the red wine short ribs and the rock shrimp with blue grits.
In my opinion, this mural tour is a must-do! It is the perfect opportunity to see alternative art, taste great food, get some exercise, and catch up with your girlfriends.
11. Icon Park
Among Orlando’s many amusement parks is Icon Park. Icon Park features theme park attractions, restaurants, and museums, including Madame Tussaud’s.
While in Icon Park, I recommend experiencing The Wheel. The Wheel gives you and your girlfriends a birds-eye view of the city from 400 feet in the air.
Riding The Wheel is similar to being on a Ferris wheel ride, but with plenty of added luxury. Each capsule is air-conditioned with entirely transparent walls so that you won’t miss an inch of the incredible views. Grab an adult beverage before hopping into your capsule to the clouds as you raise your glasses to toast a fantastic Orlando girls’ getaway!
If there was ever a hub for amusement, adventure, and excitement, Orlando is undoubtedly it. Whatever you and your girlfriends are interested in, you are sure to find something that will please everyone.
