It’s always great to spend time with the special people in your life. Life gets busy, but I think it’s important to spend more time with those people who are important to us. While it’s always great to hang out together at home, there’s something special about bonding with friends and family on a getaway. One of my favorite places to get away to is South Florida. I especially like the Boca Raton and Delray Beach areas.

The Boca Raton area is my go-to when I travel to Florida. Staying near Boca means you can visit Delray Beach, Deerfield Beach, and Hillsboro with no problem as they’re all right in the same area on the East coast of South Florida. The Boca Raton/Delray Beach area is easy to get to as well because you have your choice of two great airports. Boca Raton and Delray Beach are located in between Palm Beach International Airport and Fort Lauderdale Airport; each is no more than a 30-minute drive.
A group of us recently decided to go down to the Boca Raton area for some R and R and warm weather! We all wanted to stay together so we needed a place that slept at least 6, preferably 8-10 or more in case some of our adult kids decided to join us. We also wanted a pool and it had to cost less than $700 per night.
That price point worked for us because there were 4 families splitting the cost so it would end up costing about $175 to $200 per person per night with tax. We found many fabulous houses that fit the bill. I share our best finds below.

Plus, there’s a nice pool and fun tiki hut so you can have a great time without leaving this beautiful rental.

Also, outside you’ll have fun hanging out around the beautiful pool surrounded by all the tropical landscaping. The location is also magnificent, as it’s less than two blocks to Atlantic Ave.

In addition, the home offers a state-of-the-art whole-house duct purification system to provide cleaner air throughout. Plus, the location is really good — only 1 mile to the trendy Atlantic Ave for tons of shopping and dining options. A huge plus for this property is that the city of Delray is offering free on-demand transportation to downtown areas, so you really don’t need a car if you’re heading downtown or to the beach.
9. The Pool House

Check out this modern, gorgeous home in the heart of Delray Beach. We love the open floorplan and the abundant natural light that brings the outdoors in. Inside, many of the furnishings, including all the mattresses, are brand new. And, the location is fabulous, with Atlantic Ave and the beach both less than two miles away. Of course, you’ll love the convenience of having a pool right in your own backyard so you can cool off anytime!
10. Hillsboro Beach Villa

Located in Hillsboro Beach, this unique villa offers a perfect vacation spot for you and your family. The villa’s top point is its unbelievable oceanfront location. You’ll have your own private-feeling beach here with plenty of room to soak in the sun and relax. It’s actually a two-tiered beach, so you can choose your spot depending on how close you want to be to the water. Either way, you’ll be in a very uncrowded, serene area. If you do tire of the beach, you can enjoy the on-site heated swimming pool. In fact, you can switch off and go from pool to beach, depending on your mood!
The villa itself is on the smaller side but has two bedrooms, two baths, and a full kitchen, so you’ll have everything you need here. If you feel like heading out to explore the area, Deerfield Beach is within walking distance, so you’ll have access to multiple restaurants if you don’t feel like cooking. The Deerfield Beach fishing pier is also a stone’s throw away.
