It’s not the most exciting ride at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, but Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is a relaxing tradition for almost anyone who spends a day in the park. Today, the ride reopened after being closed for more than a year.

Two cars collided in February 2020 and the ride closed shortly thereafter. The entire theme park closed in March 2020 due to COVID, but when Magic Kingdom reopened last July, the ride remained closed.
Park-goers won’t notice any big changes, so expect the same calm 10-minute ride through Tomorrowland while traveling through Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear’s Ranger Spin. You’ll take in unique views of Tomorrowland Speedway, the construction of the new TRON Lightcycle Run, and even Cinderella’s Castle in the distance.
The ride also features a model of Walt Disney’s Progress City, which was his vision for the city of tomorrow and the inspiration for EPCOT.
The Transit Authority PeopleMover is the perfect afternoon ride when it’s hot, you’re tired of walking, and you want a relaxing experience the entire family can enjoy, from the littles to the grandparents. If you’re feeling nostalgic, you can take a ride now with Blog Mickey.
