The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club provided an overnight stay and meals. All opinions are my own.
1. Beautiful Luxury Accommodations
The rooms at the luxurious Ponte Vedra Inn & Club are beautiful. Many of the 262 rooms and suites offer spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. There are a variety of room styles to choose from, and whether you want something contemporary or more historical, you will find a room to suit your preference. If over-the-top luxury is what you desire, the Penthouse Suite might be perfect.
When I visited, I stayed in the superior oceanfront room. These rooms have either a King size bed or two queen beds. Each of the superior oceanfront rooms has a balcony or patio providing panoramic views of the sparkling Atlantic Ocean.
When you first enter the room, there is a kitchenette area that includes a microwave, a small sink, a half-size refrigerator, and a cupboard area.
The ensuite powder room was large with double sinks and a huge mirror covering the whole wall. A large soaking tub with a wall opening that overlooked the bedroom area was on one side of the room. Sliding doors allow you to close this for privacy or leave it open to enjoy the view of the ocean as you pamper yourself. On the opposite side is a large walk-in shower and a private area for using the restroom.
There were large, fluffy white towels, and in the closet were white robes and slippers. There was a digital bathroom scale placed under the vanity. (I found this to be quite amusing!)
Every room enjoys complimentary Wifi.
The balcony had two comfortable chairs and a small table overlooking the ocean. Patios on the first level were able to walk right onto the beach.
2. Ultimate In Service
While the room was gorgeous and so much attention had been paid to detail, even more impressive was the service. The minute I left my room, it seemed someone was tidying up after me.
Even if I was only gone a half-hour, someone was taking care of my every need. Shortly after I arrived, I went out to explore the grounds and pool area, and when I returned, a delectable charcuterie board was sitting in my room, along with a bottle of sparkling grape juice.
In the evening, turndown service was provided.
3. A Shuttle Takes You Everywhere
During our stay, transportation throughout the grounds was provided by golf cart shuttles. Upon arrival, they loaded your luggage and delivered you to your building.
I was impressed with how quickly the shuttle arrived each time we called them. We decided to walk from our rooms to the main building a few times during daylight hours, but they quickly came to take us wherever we desired whenever we called the shuttle.
4. Gorgeous Private Beach
The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club boasts a beautiful half-mile of private beach with pristine white sand and plenty of opportunities to make lasting memories. The private beach has been mesmerizing guests since 1928.
5. Pools For Every Need
While the beach is gorgeous, if you don’t enjoy the sand and surf, you can still stay cool in one of the three pools available. Or get warm in the adult-only hot tub. All pools are heated year-round.
Family Pool
The family pool and splash pad is extensive and includes a mini waterpark with a 7-foot-high slide, fountains, a splash area for the kids, and a zero-entry wading area. There are lounge chairs available around the pool and on the roof-top sun deck, and a lifeguard is on duty during scheduled pool hours.
Adults Only Pool
There is a large adult only pool with a hot tub beside it. I liked the fact that there were absolutely no children in this pool. Only adults.
The hot tub was supposed to be adults only, but I saw a few kids get in, but they didn’t stay long and were not noisy.
Lap Pool
The four-lane, 75-foot lap pool overlooked the beach area.
6. Exercise Overlooking The Ocean
The exercise and workout room overlooked the beach. As people were on the treadmill, they could watch their grandkids playing in the surf or imagine they were walking on the beach.
Whether you seek a cardiovascular workout or strength training, the newly renovated 8,000-square-foot fitness center has you covered. Recently renovated, with more than 75 exercise stations and four fitness studios. They hold approximately 80 weekly exercise classes.
All guests have complimentary use of the fitness center and may attend all exercise classes.
7. Racquet Club And Tennis Programs
Ponte Vedra is famous for its Racquet Club and immaculately maintained tennis courts. Situated between the sparkling Atlantic Ocean and the world-class fairways is the Ponte Vedra’s Racquet Club.
The Racquet Club is the “Official Tennis Club of the ATP World Tour,” featuring 15 Har-Tru hydro courts surrounded by lushly landscaped grounds showcasing vibrant plants. There are shaded courtside pavilions, a large, modern clubhouse, and computerized ball machines.
Eight tennis courts are lit for evening play.
Instructional Tennis programs, packages, and year-round activities attract tennis enthusiasts to the Ponte Vedra Racquet Club.
The award-winning tennis staff offers more than 20 drill clinics, instructional programs, and mixers each week. Whether you are just learning the game or an expert, there is something for everyone.
8. World Class Golf Courses
There are two world-class golf courses on-site at the Ponte Vedra. The Ocean and Lagoon courses feature elevated Bermuda greens, meandering lagoons, and undulating fairways, along with a warm sea breeze.
9. Immaculate Grounds
The grounds at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club were just about perfect. No matter what time you were out, someone was mowing, using the leaf blower, sweeping the sidewalk, etc.
Their time and attention made a difference. Nothing appeared to be out of place. There were flowers everywhere, and the large fountain at the main building entrance captured everyone’s attention.
10. Dining Delights
There are 10 restaurants in the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. We enjoyed a special dinner in a private room at the Seahorse Grille restaurant. It is an upscale casual dining and cocktail experience that serves only dinner and dessert.
Housed in the Surf Club, the Seahorse Grille provides dramatic ocean views on one side and a wrap-around aquarium in the middle of the restaurant. We enjoyed several items on their artfully imaginative menu that delighted the palate, as well as a champagne reception.
Our group enjoyed breakfast in the Inn Dining Room. They serve only breakfast in an elegant setting with crisp table linens and sparkling crystal.
In both restaurants, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable.
11. Spa Services
When you want to enjoy pure relaxation and renewal, you head to the spa. The Spa at Ponte Vedra’s Inn & Club is the largest spa in northeast Florida and is very sophisticated and private.
The 30,000-square-foot full-service spa offers over 100 services. Although we had a brief tour, we could only see the public areas such as the elegant lobby, the babbling waterfalls, water sculptures, and the private pool for spa guests. Everything was stunningly opulent and grand with a serene atmosphere.
Spa services sell out quickly, so you might want to consider making your appointments when you make your room reservations.
12. Shopping
There are various luxury shopping opportunities at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. Shop designer labels, spa essentials, golf, tennis apparel and gear, men, women, and children’s clothing, and more.
13. Resort Activities
The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club provides a variety of activities for its guests. Kayaks, paddleboards, beach bicycle cruisers, and more are available to rent.
Summer camp programs and daily activities for all ages are provided. Your days can be as relaxing or fun-filled as you desire.
