Business To Nice
La Compagnie airline is celebrating its return to Nice, France by offering a sale on some of its flights. Right now, you can grab a seat on this business class-only airline for as low as $2,000 roundtrip. But act fast — the sale ends May 15, 2022.
The flights take off from New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport and land at Nice Cote d’Azur Airport. You can book the sale on La Compagnie’s website or by calling them directly. I tried to put in a few dates and found flights in September for under $1,000 one-way, but the “promo” days were limited. Also, keep in mind that booking a “promo” deal is non-refundable. A “smart” ticket will cost you more but allows you to cancel for a fee. A “flex” ticket is the highest price but comes with free cancellation.
“This year, with restrictions being lifted both in France and the United States, as well as the development efforts our collaborators have contributed, we’re already seeing great enthusiasm and demand for this route and this vibrant city,” says Christian Vernet, La Compagnie’s president.
Traveling In France
France eased coronavirus-related travel restrictions in February 2022. Currently, vaccinated visitors must show proof of vaccination upon arrival. Unvaccinated travelers must show a negative test to enter the country but are not required to quarantine or isolate — if the passenger is coming from a country designated as “green.” This includes the United States of America. Countries designated with other colors — meaning the virus spread is high — will need to follow more strict protocols including possible quarantine upon arrival.
About La Compagnie
La Compagnie only offers business class seats. The plane to Nice is an Airbus A321neo aircraft, which has 76 flat-bed seats. Once airborne, enjoy free Wi-Fi and a 4-course meal with options like cauliflower soup with truffle and parmesan crisps or boeuf bourguignon with smoked bacon. Each seat also has a screen for entertainment.
