The Sweet Escape lets you have your cake and eat it too. It is perfect for families, corporate retreats, and reunions. Featured on Insider, Delish, and Today, this Vrbo rental is not just a place to sleep — it is an experience.
Nestled on 5 acres just minutes from the Florida Turnpike, this gated private home and guest house offers 8,000 square feet of candy-themed living space and plenty of outdoor fun. Surrounded by lakes, it is close enough to Orlando-area attractions, yet far enough away to feel like a retreat. Let’s explore this candy-coated vacation rental.
Amenities
When guests walk into The Sweet Escape, they’re like a kid in a candy store. It has its own 1,200-plus-square-foot karaoke nightclub, complete with disco lighting, a DJ booth, and games. An arcade features full-sized video game machines and virtual reality gaming, which you can play for free. The “Milky Way Galaxy (Candy Bar)” room pits aliens against earthlings in a game of laser tag for control over the world’s Milky Way bar supply. But that’s not all! There are also game tables and a movie theater room!
Outdoor Amenities
Outside has even more eye candy if you can believe it! It’s like its own theme park. For starters, The Sweet Escape is home to the only ice cream cone-shaped swimming pool in the world. The 30,000-gallon pool features a “chocolate waterslide” with the hot tub as the “cherry on top.” It also has a splash park, an outdoor movie theater, and a custom-built candy-themed miniature golf course that will make you feel like you jumped into a game of Candy Land. Other games include tetherball and volleyball, glow disc golf, and a life-size checkers and chess board.
You’ll also find an outdoor kitchen and huge entertainment area, a firepit to make s’mores, several porches and decks, and hammocks hanging under palm trees. Plus, weekday passes are available for lake access at one of the neighboring estates.
Candy-Themed Rooms
Enjoy meals in the Cereal Killer kitchen. The chocolate-covered spa bedroom features an indoor sauna, luxury massage chairs and tables, and excellent views of the ice cream cone pool. Both the Coca-Cola and Pepsi-themed rooms feature an in-room pinball machine, themed games, and more.
Kids might have a hard time actually going to sleep in their candy-themed bedrooms. Basically a ball pit with bunk beds, the Lollipop Room features a “lollipop stick quest,” and plenty of other interactive entertainment. The Carnival Suite boasts a custom-built carnival games booth with games like “Tip the Troll.”
Sleeps 52? For Real?
Three living rooms provide plenty of elbow room for everyone, but where in the world will over 50 people sleep? Eleven bedrooms have king, queen, and bunk beds for 24 people. There are also three queen sleeper sofas and up to 14 twin rollaway cots available. Plus, the luxe theater seats are a great place for young adults to crash after staying up late watching movies.
Is There Any Actual Candy?
To candy lovers’ chagrin, the house is not made of candy. There are, however, six candy dispensing games on-site. A candy crane in the arcade room gives players a handful of assorted wrapped candy. There’s also a gumball pinball machine. Peppered with peppermint decor, the Candy Shop living room has machines that dispense a gumball in exchange for a penny.
