Fly Your Way will be launched on March 2 for customers in the United States and Canada, and on March 3 for the rest of the world.
The branded fares start with a basic level, called Lite, and move up with additional offerings at each level.
“Fly Your Way represents the best value for money for all guests whether traveling light for a weekend getaway, or bringing the whole family for an annual holiday,” CEO Andre Viljoen said in a release. “Our customers have various needs when they travel, whether for business or leisure, and with this new concept, we give them the ability to choose the product that best suits them.”
Four Levels Of Fares
The levels begin with Lite, which allows guests a free carry-on and includes a meal or snack, beverages, in-flight entertainment, and frequent flyer points for members.
The second level, Value, includes a free checked bag and allows for flight changes for a fee.
The third level, Comfort, includes three free checked bags, the ability to cancel reservations with fees, and a choice of standard seats.
The top level, Plus, adds fully refundable change or cancellation fees, selection of any seat, and priority boarding, baggage, and check-in.
Cutting Edge Service
Viljoen said the program is aiming to put Fiji Airways on the cutting edge of service to its passengers.
“We have conducted extensive global market research, and I am certain our different guest demographics will see the benefit in each of them,” Viljoen said. “The results of the market research showed what our different customers expect and value most when traveling, and what they prefer more flexibility with, and that’s the approach we took when designing these categories.”
The fares and levels will be available to all customers, whether they book on the airline’s website or with a travel agent.
Fiji Airways flies from the island to locations around the world, including non-stop flights from Los Angeles and San Francisco. The airline also flies to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Singapore.
