Karin Leperi Pezo is an award-winning writer and photographer with bylines in more than 150 magazines and newspapers. She’s been featured on radio and internet platforms that include National Geographic, Smithsonian, Country, Living Fit, and Global Traveler. She is a long-standing member of the prestigious Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) as well as an active member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA).

Her journeys have taken her to 116 countries spanning six continents, plus numerous natural wonders and UNESCO World Heritage sites. Traveling from her home base in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she seeks the exotic aspects of seemingly ordinary destinations. Her specialties include cruising, culture, nature, wildlife, and photography — all under the umbrella of travel. In her former life, she had varied careers such as a senior federal official in the government, military attache office in Portugal, and flight engineer in the Navy.
