Tom was the senior editor at AAA Going Places magazine for 18 years and a long-time member of the Society of American Travel Writers. He won numerous writing awards from the Florida Magazine Association and several tourism bureaus and has been a guest speaker at many tourism and public relations events. His journalism career began with the Tampa Tribune as a sportswriter before transitioning into full-time travel writing.
